Ohio Swimming exists for the education, instruction, and training of all individuals for the purpose of developing and improving their capabilities in the sport of swimming for swimmers of all ages and abilities in accordance with the standards and under the rules prescribed by the Federation Internationale de Natation Amateur, USA Swimming, and Ohio Swimming Inc.

    
    

Ohio All-Star Swim Teams

There are two All-Star meets Ohio participates in.  Hover your pointer over the "All Star Teams" menu item on the left and select the meet for which you want to obtained information on.

Ohio Quad Team - January
The All-Star QUAD Team is a select team that competes against Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky at the MID-STATES QUADRANGULAR CHAMPIONSHIP each January held at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.  To be selected for the Ohio QUAD Team, swimmers must achieve one of the fastest four times in an event for each age group since September 1st of the current short course season after all applications are received by the deadline.  "Team Ohio" may comprise of swimmers from both the Lake Erie LSC and Ohio LSC as these two chapters are merged together for this team selection. (note: LSC is "Local Swimming Chapter"). Typically, a representative from the Ohio and Lake Erie Chapters will 'alternate' the logistics and application process for this All-Star team selection. 

Ohio Zone Team - August
To be a member of the Ohio Zone Team, an athlete must achieve a National AAA time in any individual event in either long course meters, short course meters, or short course yards for the current age group (e.g. 10&under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18) since August of the previous year. "Team Ohio" is comprised of swimmers from the Ohio LSC only.  The Ohio Zone Team Coordinator will setup lodging, entries, staff, and travel arrangements for athletes who wish to represent Ohio at the Central Zone Championships.  The meet is held at one of the 15 LSCs within the Central Zone (Midwest USA).
